About the studio

Hello — I'm Ruilin. Nice to meet you.

A Toronto photographer and filmmaker who'd rather catch the real laugh than stage a perfect one.

The approach

Authentic first. Always.

I photograph weddings the way they actually happen — the nervous hands before the aisle, the parent who can't stop crying, the dance floor at midnight. Clean, modern, a little editorial, but never stiff. My job is to be close enough to catch it and quiet enough that you forget I'm there.

Full-frame cameras, fast portrait lenses, and studio lighting when the moment calls for it — so the images hold up framed on a wall in twenty years, not just on a phone next week.

Photo & film, one studio

One vision, two crafts.

Stills and motion from a single team means one consistent look across everything you keep — no coordinating two vendors at the altar, no clashing styles in the edit. The photographs hang on your wall; the film brings back the sound of the room.

Based in Toronto and obsessed with its venues — Casa Loma, Hart House, the Brick Works — but I've packed a bag for Banff, Tulum, Lake Como and Tuscany. If your day is somewhere beautiful, I'll be there.

What you can count on

The promises.

A calm process from the first email to the final album — and a studio that actually delivers when it says it will.
